Md Hussein a great Indian painter created plenty of modern pieces of art that brought him the fame and money.I don't deny the fact that even India is proud of him.Hindus in India are very tolerant even if their beloved gods are used in vulgar comedy scenes in various Indian movies.There are plenty of movies showing this kind of scenes insulting Hindu gods.
But the Hindus were not tolerant in case of Md Hussein's infamous nude paintings of Hindu Gods. Was this because he was a muslim painter? And the point here is he was only a great painter...but not a real human of this society who failed to understand the selective intolerance of some sections of the society.
The meditation is the part of Hindu culture and the best people who know about this are the followers of Lord Shiva {I suppose}. Lord Shiva is even called as Yogananda , Yogeshwar. A Lord Shiva Temple near my house wakes us up at 5AM everyday with loud songs sung by the various famous artists who would be enjoying their sleep at 5am. I never go to the temples to pray for my self. I woke that day and walked down to the temple.I entered the temple to find the pierson whom I can ask about the loud music.
I found one pujari in his mid 30s with huge tummy.he was plucking some flowers.I went and asked him to reduce the volume.He replied with a stare. After few seconds he said that is the minimum volume and its for the devotees of the temple.I looked around the temple and asked him where are the devotees? He said there are plenty around the temple.I said I am not scared to ask this tell me which devotee asked you to play these songs.
He replied saying this is the minimum volume.
I replied saying is this a disco temple? He got angry and started arguing that you have no rite to enter temple.i said you have no rite to disturb us before 6:30am . Then he lost his temper and started abusing me. I immediately said is this lord shiva temple? Then I continued saying that the lord shiva is symbol of meditation and peace. And you are the messenger of the god , if you loose the temper and disturb the public with loud music who can help the public.Immediately he reduced the volume.
I was so happy and proud that I was able to convince a man. And I was happy that he was such a nice person.
But but but it was again the same the next day.....
